Most of the developers use Google’s SMTP for outgoing emails on their development environments. And that works for most but setting the SMTP servere to smtp.gmail.com and 465 as SMTP port but their gmail account password will not work if they have enabled Google 2-step verification.
For it to work you will have to setup Application Specific Password from here and use this password instead.
